Not true
What part?

If you think Mitch Clark (or anyone else for a fact) would walk away from a contract and not expect some sort of compensation you are deluded. The only time that isn't paid is if there has been a breach of contract

Now are you claiming that is what has happened or are you the club accountant putting as "spin" on him leaving and him more than probably even counting on next season's salary cap while he trots round for another team?
Not rocket science I highlighted what's not true also not deluded it was not to register any of those players . And I'm actually twice as good as club accountants not even a fool could make a bigger balls up than them.
Are you claiming that Wigan did not need to remove Mitch Clark from our overseas list of players in order to recruit one of these overseas players?

Perhaps it might not have been Mago or Ellis or Miski but it was either Tommy or Isa or French or Field as the club had 8 and could not register all. You cannot claim you know more when the simple basics of what you are claiming is in itself incorrect. Wigan had too many overseas players and one had to go. Or is it that you disagree with and we somehow are allowed 13 overseas and wires salary cap

Ibi est Clark left and got compensated for doing so
Back by demand.

Tommy Leuluai is not counted on our oversees quota……he wasn’t this year. (A newspaper wrongly claimed he was when summing up super league quota spots for each team)
I don’t know the exact ins and outs but I’m assuming it’s because he was classed as “federation trained” and lived in the country so long when the ‘new’ changes came into place.

Like others have already said on other threads……..don’t shoot the messenger.

Thanks for that I have said earlier didn't count on quota after going through loads of searches on him and quota regs to find him registered as a quota player he isn't registered on Wigan's quota hence me asking if anyone knew different we both could be wrong but I'm pretty confident. My favourite quote is only time will tell. I stated it was not true Clarke was let go because we had over loaded quota. I stick by that and to me reads they are leaving a spot for someone. Again time will tell.

Well even the RL media can't agree regarding whether Tommy counts on the overseas quota so what chance is there for us mere mortals?

If you look at the dates published, I don’t think they’re disagreeing, it was just that Tommy didn’t have a contract for 2022 at the time of printing of the top article. The other two were in January, when he was confirmed as playing on for 2021.

The decision to give him that 12 months is a crazy one if he does indeed count on the quota.

The last link is the most useful as it explains the simplified quota rules. Reading that, doesn’t TL’s status hinge on whether or not he’s classed as Federation trained?

The simplified quota rules mean clubs can sign seven non federation trained players. So on the expectation normally all prospective NRL players will be non fed trained as they will have spent their junior years in Oz or NZ we can have seven of them.

TL came over when he was 17 didn’t he? So if he qualifies as federation trained due to this we could have TL plus seven other non federation trained players.

That's my reading of it. And was already in place before rule change.

Leuluai only came over to play for London in 2005, he was born in 1985 so he would have been 19. If that's the case he wouldn't have played three years before he was twenty-one over here.
