As good as he is, 38 games since 2020 and no games this season make him way too much of a risk, especially at the salary he would expect. We would be better off spending that money on someone else for sure

Presuming this is our 3rd marquee. I do wonder if Wigan have an eye on Welsby when his contract expires. Unless Jai & French stay long term I would throw a huge contract at him and out saints under pressure.

He has been approached, at least three times.
It was never going to happen for my money he wants to try and stay down under big money,weather etc few games too I'm not sure why Wigan went after him if indeed they did so many injuries and more worryingly concussion problems have blighted his time down under,nah not a player I'd be going after if it was my money paying for him.
