I believe it was the 21 July when he signed the contract. He signed it whilst at the St Helen's club via what I would call video link and then wired across.

Possibly was, however I was told on the 16th he'd signed terms that day by John Davidson. Regardless of date I'm glad he's leaving

On Eddie and Steve's podcast they said he was joining up with Bennett next year a few months back

Its been on the cards for a while as everyone knows, but physically signing didn't occur that long ago, I'm intrigued as to why its been announced when it has, within the same week as the derby defeat, It wasn't scheduled to be announced until after the regular season at the earliest.

Can always go either way.

For example, Hull KR completely shut down once Tony Smith announced he was leaving. The players stopped playing for a manager who was "giving up" on them. On the other hand, Wigan's GF victory under Shaun Wane seemed inevitable when it was announced to be his last game.

Would of thought they’d need that after the Semi seen as they are all crying over the half a day less rest
