Toby King

Got a hot rumour from a source inside the club, or just something you heard down the pub? Then what are you waiting for, post it on The Rumour Mill.

People say we overpay players... I didn't realise king was a Warrington Marquee.
He's been good and was good at Warrington but I've never thought him a marquee signing.
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

I’m not sure he was but I think the story is that they’ll just change his status to that next season, so his salary will then only count as 50k on the cap. It will be such an awkward return that one, with him and Powell apparently not on the best terms and the Wire fans needing to back track from giving him dogs abuse a few weeks ago.

I’d like to keep him but I’m not losing any sleep about it. He’s done pretty well for us but he’s not blown me away. There are some limitations to his game.

We need a specialised goal kicking center imo. Even tho he looks settled I’d be comfortable seeing King depart. I’d then have Croker for a couple of seasons to steady the ship.

Why does the goal kicker have to be a centre?

I wouldn’t be concerned about King returning to Wire and I definitely wouldn’t pay a fee for him. Wigan need to call Wires bluff. I think that there are better centres we can acquire on a lower contract.

Because when we resign Zak, that's where he will be played

I agree he's not bad but not worth the money he clearly is on at wire
