Brian Noble requested permission to go for GB job

Post by Antwigan »

Brian Noble has sought permission from the Wigan board to apply for the vacant GB coaching position. This is from a bbc rugby commentator.
Unsure of the finer points but this would leave the Wigan head coaching job open as the GB position is full time.

Get you bets in now people. Shaun Edwards anyone?

If it happened another new coach would ensure one thing - relegation.

Dont beleive that Nobby wants the GB job full time he has got a challenge at Wigan to make us the best team in the league like he did at Bradford and it goes on his CV which will help him to go to Australia to take up a coaching role which he wants,

"Sought" doesn't mean he has got permission, but in any case the RFL would look at his past history coaching GB and he's hardly had any more success than anyone else in the job. If he'd had a few more victories then he might be a good bet but his record wouldn't help him secure the position full-time, they might well decide he's done as much as he can and they want some fresh blood.
