Whitehaven friendly was arrange as part of the deal to sign Oliver Wilkes? and the idea was they would get some money from the tickets, they could move it to the JJB but Whitehaven would have to get the money to complete the deal.

True mike... There was something on Jordan James contract that we would play whitehaven in a pre season game... i know its under 21s so i dont think many people will make there way up there but i will be with the traveling minority :)

Part of the deal that brought Oliver Wilkes to Wigan was that we would send a full strength team to Whitehaven, not the U21s that we sent the year before (see the related story at the bottom of the page).

I'd hope we'd use a full strength side as we always start the season poorly, and part of that is lack of pre-season competitive matches.
