Can't say I'm surprised he's been fired; though I don't think that it is totally his fault.
He based Salford's game around their defence and when they started leaking points they were always going to find it difficult to win matches.
They have suffered with injuries this year; however with the SC and 20/25 every team has to be prepared to struggle at times - look at us last year (and the year before for that matter). Their biggest problem is that they have really missed Dunneman - without him they only really have Robinson as an attacking option and when teams use him as a target for their forwards, there is only so much he can do.
KH is very difficult to like, he's about as dour as people get and finds it very hard to admit that his team have come off second best - usually blaming refereeing decisions or highlighting his teams shortcomings; rather than the strengths of their opponents. This is the sort of behaviour you expect from a fan - not a head coach and it comes across as poor sportsmanship.
The sad thing for KH is that had they not made the play-offs last year then he might have been given a little more time. Expectations were high and results were low - this made his departure case of when not if.
I don't really see what a new coach can do. In our case last season (and the Wildcats for that matter) the coach had lost the dressing room and the players didn't want to play for him. Salford's problem is that they lack depth and quality and I can't see how they can turn their season around. I expect them to get thumped by the Giants this weekend and by stains the following week.

Anyway, back to the thread.
Just read on BBC that Mcrae is favourite for the job.
If he does, BRILLIANT.
If I could fly down the wing
on the back of Nobby's dreams
It's eight o'clock I'm happy as can be
As you hear the Warriors roar
As Feka's in to score
How many trophies do we really need
All together now.
Na na na na na na na
Cheer up Shaun Mcrae
Oh what can it mean to a fat ozzy ********
and a **** rugby team

Re: Salford sack karl harr...
Well predicted HC.
to be honest, I think they are a lost cause now. Depends if they are prepared to stay Full time in the lower league and try to bounce back up.
