Can't remember any specific comments but Karl Kirkpermatan always had a very dry sense of humour. The comments aren't always as clear as they were tonight though and no doubt they'll find a way to stop us hearing any other future classics.

Maybe Thaler want to be the new KK - in terms of his humour, not his style of refereeing.

I agree with you OAM, if Thaler doesn't listen to the "interpretations" by Cummings, and doesn't listen to the other five clowns, and just referees games like HE wants to, then as long as he is following the Sl referee rules, then he could be the best referee that we have seen since......... well who know's, but the best referee we have seen for a while anyway.

Back on the Thaler/Briers subject, before Briers kicked the goal after that Penny guy scored, you could hear Thaler laughing about something.

Maybe Briers and Thaler had been having a laugh and a joke throughout the game, but Thaler refereed the game how HE wanted to.
