Doncaster on the brink of collapse

Got something to discuss about RL in general? Then this is the place to post it.

No. London Broncos had massive debts and by going bust these got written off.
I thought if clubs went backrupt but wanted to continue to operate they had to be given a points deduction, to stop clubs just spending all the cash in one club then setting up another debt free.

Like Leeds United where deducted points in the football Championship.
They have, as have Swinton:

No hesitation to deduct points from Swinton and Doncaster yet Broncos let off with nothing, typical of the RFL.

I don't believe for a second the RFL had no rules in place to deduct points from club in financial trouble before Broncos because clubs have been deducted points for financial problems along time before Super League was started and it occurs all the time in other sports.

The rules were changed after the Broncos became Quins. Mo voted against the Broncos Quins idea because no point deduction was going to be made.

Super League is a different league than what went before with the clubs having a big say in what goes on e.g. how the TV money is divided, veto on salary cap changes. What went on before doesn't really have anything to do with how SL is run now.
