18000 shows a lack of ambition from the saints board.

They only plan to move in to it from 2010, but from 2009 the franchise system should be in place. What will happen to them for the year that they are still at Knowsley Road.

It looks like a tin or sardines with the lid off.

the glass frontage looks like a replice of the mighty Emirates stadium. I am sure the architects can find something original in design but ah well, a new ground is an improvement for st helens and rugby league in general

Surely the clubs that already meet the criteria must be given priority irrelevent which team looses out. Why should any team already invested be denied just because someone is getting a stadium built. Any team matching all criteria sure has a claim in the courts for compensation if a space is reserved for someone who does not. HC

I think I read somewhere that its meant to be shaped like a halo. maybe the sponsers will be....
