The great sportsmanship in Rugby League was on display in the match between Sheffield and Featherstone as Eagles forwards Steve Thorpe and Mitch Stringer came to the aid of Ian Hardman after he suffered a concussion.
Hardman was visibly dazed after a clash of heads with Menzie Yere, and started to run in the opposite direction of his team mates before Thorpe and Stringer raced over to help avoid any further injury.
Their good deed was eventually rewarded as the Eagles won the match 38-28, securing their place in the Qualifiers in the process.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
