Wigan Warriors Education Academy Student James Teixeiria stared as England Colleges beat Scotland U19s 64-4.
James is currently into his second year studying BTEC level 3 advanced diploma in performance and Excellence and is a robust, hard running back row forward that represents the education academy team and Wigan St Patricks U18s.
James commented:
“It was a dream come true to represent my country against Scotland and to get on the score sheet, I really enjoy the course with Wigan and hope to secure a place at UCLAN university to study Sports Science next year. The performance pathway at Wigan and playing for the Warriors Education Academy was a big factor in me choosing to study here, the staff are really supportive and allowed me to represent both the North West Counties and England.”

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
