Bet it’s because it’s his last game before he retires.
Still wrong though, shoulder charge is a shoulder charge.
He knows the rules, should be punished the same as any other player

Not just Tomkins, if it had been any other NRL player...

The tackle wasn't the worst thing in the world (and not as bad a Friend's spear tackle), but rules is rules. Or should be.

I didn't think that there was a lot in the tackle, far worse crimes go unpunished though. But you are right, what is the use of having rules if you don't invoke them?
