Yet another example of a free vote not going the way people would have liked...

This could be the reason why!

Think it might be the 11 Catalans players who voted for Romain Navarette, and 1 who voted for Danny Addy (who didn’t play a single game) for starters.

And this is Gary Schofield's take on it, 'The players who didn’t take the Steve Prescott Man of Steel voting seriously are a fing disgrace. There is no excuse. You disrespect both the history of the game and the memory of Steve. Grow up you morons.'

Only three wolfs voted for Bateman. None for Sam.

They're going to regret that.
Footballers spend 90 minutes pretending they're injured. Rugby League players spend 80 minutes pretending they're not.

Josh voted Sam 2nd. Perhaps it would have been too obviously a mickey-take if he'd voted for 1st, they are best mates and that's what's making this Voting system into a total sham.

If you want to see the full voting go to the following web address
Sorry i dnt know how to copy a web link so you could access from here

http://www.rugby-league.com/man_of_steel_votes

THE FOLLOWING IS COPIED FORM TOTAL RUGBY LEAGUE

By now, we all know that Ben Barba was crowned the Steve Prescott Man of Steel.

However, there was another big talking point arose over some of the outright bizarre votes from players across Super League.

A number of people caught the eye with their unusual votes, and it has not gone down at all well.

The guilty club was the Catalans Dragons, with some of their players clearly not taking the prestigious award seriously.

For starters, Romain Navarrete, the former Catalans forward was voted Man of Steel by four Dragons players. Jason Baitieri’s three votes went to Greg Burke, Jake Bibby and Craig Hall. And if that wasn’t bad enough, Mickael Simon’s vote went to Danny Addy, who hasn’t played a single minute all year due to injury.

In addition, Ash Handley and Alex Foster voted for each other; Warrington’s Toby King voted for Huddersfield rookie Louis Senior as his Man of Steel, and Jez Litten even got a vote.

No disrespect is intended towards any of these players, but it’s very sad to see players not taking the award seriously.

That list is brilliant but it does prove how biased some players are eg greg bitd voting for hulls scrum half and LMS voting club third choice........respect to sam voting for barba though.......... apparently paulo, naiqama and coote are already in the running for next years mos....... just behind roby
