Why Papua New Guinea vs England Knights will not be available live

England Knights are facing Papua New Guinea in two Tests in the next couple of weeks

England Knights’ clash in Lae against Papua New Guinea on Saturday morning will not be broadcast live via the Our League App, the Rugby Football League have confirmed.

The RFL were hoping to show a live stream of the match in the remote region, with the contest kicking off 6am (BST).


But unfortunately despite plans to that affect, the RFL have been unable to get a reliable link from PNG to offer live streaming of the game.

However, the RFL state they are expecting the match to be available via the app in full later on in the day.

It's understood there were issues with getting a television transmission tower into place in Lae. There are not likely to be the same issues with the second Test, which will be played in Port Moresby on Saturday, November 3.
