NRL coaches consider putting forward 20-40 rule proposal
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Yet another shite rule that penalizes good defence

Doesn't appeal to me. Unlike the 40/20, which most sensible fans think, is a great idea.

THey are right that the lack of breaks is an issue though. I wonder how many comments like "don't have a clue how to break down defences" and "lack of attractive rugby" are related to the general improvement in defensive ability across the game now. 10 years ago breaks with length of the field tries were far more common than now. Wigan clearly had a ball handling issue for the last 4-5 years which has improved over the last 2, and other clubs still do. Their emphasis is on phyiscality not skill levels, but good ball handling doesn't always mean your going to make breaks.
