Greg Bird will miss the start of the season after breaking his thumb.
The Catalans forward has been ruled out for four to eight weeks after picking up the injury in the pre-season victory over Toulouse.
He does not require surgery but is still set for an extended period on the sidelines after scans confirmed the extent of the injury.
