Who’d you take from Union?
So, with Wire getting Burrell for £0 for 2 years and earn whatever he wants without counting on the Cap, who would you like to take from Union and fit into this Wigan squad free of charge? Unless they previously played professionally for League like Kyle Eastmond for example.

We do actually have to pay them though, they wouldn't be free to the clubs finances.

His wages would be utterly brutal though surely I think only Warrington could afford him at present as for other players from RU I can't really think of any.

Well in fairness the thread does say who would "you" take.
There is probably about 10x the raw talent in RU in this country than in RL. It is testament to the quality of coaching in RL that this doesn't manifest itself at the top level even more.
Let's see. Taking the current England RU team only.
Jonny May (probably the best winger in English rugby. Any code). Courtney Lawes would be an outstanding 2nd row. Elliot Daly, Manu Tuilagi, Owen Farrell (best kicker since Botica?), George Ford, Billy Vunipola would walk into any SL team. I could go on.
I mean, I am an RL fan but some on here need to give their specs a polish!!
Of course there is no way any of the above would switch (unless at the end of their careers).
Take Faz. He's a multimillionaire. Compare this to what he could have earned in RL (even in the NRL).

their basis skill levels are poor. Jonny May isnt the best winger in Britain in RU so to say world is laughable and thats just within RU.George Ford is a typical RU no 10, catch and kick, the forwards I dont think can transgress well...look at Andy Powell. Tuilagi and Daly may go well.
