Danny Langtree has seen his contract at Hull FC terminated without making a single appearance for the Black and Whites.

Langtree only joined Lee Radford's last autumn, but just three months into the campaign he has officially left the club.

After being approached by FC last autumn whilst paying for League One outfit Oldham Roughyeds, Langtree left a full-time job with his father’s haulage firm in order to pursue his dream of playing professional rugby league.

The 28-year-old described the opportunity to join Lee Radford’s ranks at the time as ‘too good to miss’, but he has since found opportunities hard to come by at the KCOM Stadium.

The back-rower has been limited to playing with the reserves or with Doncaster as part of the club’s dual-registration agreement and, despite performing well, he failed to find a way into Radford’s thoughts.

Langtree fell even further down the pecking order when the club opted to sign Andre Savelio from Brisbane Broncos last month.

While the club have not given a reason for terminating his contract, Hull Live understands he could look to return to playing part-time rugby at a lower level.
