When Wolfie met Darts star Michael Smith..

Post by josie andrews »

There was a surprise visitor waiting for St Helens fan and darts World Champion Finalist Michael Smith at last night’s Unibet Premier League Darts at M&S Bank Arena, Liverpool.

Check out the video above.

Stirring up trouble with Smith wasn’t Wolfie’s only antics at the arrows last night.

Everyone’s favourite mascot was greeted to a warm reception as he made his way onto stage at the showpiece darts event in Liverpool.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

They aren’t half promoting Warrington Wolves this season

Saints and Wolves banter carries on ahead of top of table clash

THE social media banter war between Super League's top two Saints and Warrington looks like it will continue up until tonight's kick off.

Warrington kicked off proceedings on Monday by tweeting a picture of a dog reacting to Tom Lineham's try which knocked Saints out of the Super League 2018 semi-final.

Wolves went on to lose another Grand Final to Wigan and so the riposte from Saints'media team was swift and brutal - with the club's twitter feed simply posting six trophies to indicate the number of Super League titles Saints have won to Warrington's zero.

And Wolves upped the ante again last night with some top level winding up from mascot Wolfie attending the Premier League darts night at Liverpool.

But elite darter Michael Smith, who sponsors Saints, again had a witty put down - with the words - 'It's always your year' - a phrase that has been used to sum up the perennial optimism of a team that has not been crowned champions since 1955.

Its amazing what can been done with a decent mascot.

Sadly Max is a tad uninspiring.(the costume not the guy putting in the hard work)
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.
