Promotion and relegation isn't the issue. Its the fact that not many people really care about Rugby League. Poor TV deals, poor sponsorship's, poor advertising opportunities, poor revenue streams.
When a team gets relegated it loses a shed load of sponsorship money off Sky TV.

The idea relegation isn’t a financial issue is ridiculous.
Yes I agree and that’s my whole point.

The sport isn’t in a position to support teams getting relegated...

But again it’s very clear Widnes were being run into the ground,mismanagement of the highest order,that they’re going part time is,like it or not a direct result of that mismanagement
