James Gavet is on the radar of several Super League clubs according to nine.com.au.
The 29-year-old prop reportedly wants out of the struggling Newcastle Knights as he seeks a lucrative long-term contract to finish his career.
After a slow start to life in the NRL, Gavet has hit form in recent seasons and has been one of the Knights’ standout performers this year.
Head coach Nathan Brown wants to keep the two-time Samoan international at the club next season, however The Mole reports that the player wants out.
He has one more year to run on his deal but is attracted by the prospect of playing in Super League, with Warrington and both Hull clubs keeping tabs on the player.
Gavet has made a total of 74 appearances in the NRL and has played 18 times for the Knights this season, missing only one game.

Super League clubs interested in Newcastle prop
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
