St Helens contact RFL over Morgan Knowles effort at Wembley

Got something to discuss about RL in general? Then this is the place to post it.

Not surprised at all.absolutely appalling descision not to go upstairs-The credibility of our game is spiralling downwards. I for one would love to hear his reasons for not taking it to video ref-I can't think of any reason whatsoever.
If we had been on the receiving end of this descision we would also be demanding answers.
I live in Brighton and the lack of interest in our game here is lamentable however those who do show an interest and actually prefer League to union were perplexed by the descision.

John Monie's view was the best - "Don't complain about the referee unless you've won".

medlocke wrote: Tue Aug 27, 2019 3:00 pm So you have a Saints who don't agree with an official decision looking like clowns for wanting to overturn it?

Sounds sort of familiar

Yet certain fans of ours are calling this ridiculous

Oh the hypocrisy when you see what they type in a certain off topic thread

You couldn't make it up

Which Off Topic thread?
Brexit.

And ... meds admits brexit was an incorrect decision that should have been overturned. Ooops.

Yet people complain about over reliance on the video refs.
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

Everyone makes mistakes, you cant expect the refs to be hung out to dry if they make one or we will have no refs left.

We don't want a football situation where players and coach feel its okay to verbally attack coaches.

Maybe the should ask the rfl why Walmsly got away with multiple shoulder charges in the game?
We don’t know that Hicks made a mistake. From the replays that we saw it could be argued that he should have gone to the video referee, but Hicks position was directly behind the player, he was under the posts. If we had seen the replay from his view then it maybe this would not be an issue at all!

Anyone remember when Clubb scored against Hull at Wembley but it wasn’t given? The club and the player accepted the decision even though it was incorrect. That’s what sets Wigan apart from the likes of Saints!

Exactly this 🏉
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

I said that at the time, and if you watch it again on tv, neither Knowles or the majority of the Saints team made much of it when Hicks ruled it out.
