I think Kendall's inexperience was causing him to avoid any controversial calls. His subconscious was saying that calls against saints are potential higher risk than calls against Salford. So he gave every single 50-50 to saints. I doubt he knew he was doing it. A big game affects the official as much as it affects the players I reckon. He'll probably get better with more big game experience. It's a shame that Salford weren't given a fair crack though. I doubt they'll be back for a while.
At least the refs recognised the fall off of thaler and didn't give him the final. There's been something pretty wing with some of his decisions recently.
