KNIGHTS V JAMAICA TO BE SHOWN ON OUR LEAGUE

Post by josie andrews »

Knights v Jamaica to be shown on Our League - with double Oceania Cup bonus.

Our League will offer live coverage of three men’s Rugby League internationals in the next month – starting with Sunday afternoon’s match between England Knights and Jamaica at Emerald Headingley in Leeds.

That will be followed by two Oceania Cup fixtures being played during Great Britain’s tour of New Zealand: Samoa versus Fiji at Eden Park in Auckland on Saturday November 2; and Fiji versus Papua New Guinea at Orangetheory Stadium in Christchurch on Saturday 9th.

Our League membership is completely free; coverage of all three men’s internationals will be available for an Early Bird price of only £2.49 for anybody who signs up before midnight this Saturday (October 19). The price will be £4.99 from 00.01am on Sunday 20th. All three games will be repeated on at least one occasion during the 24 hours after live coverage.

Mark Foster, the RFL’s Chief Commercial Officer, said: “It’s been a huge year for Our League in terms of the quality and quantity of our live match coverage, and this is another exciting step.

“We’ve covered matches from the Betfred Championship, League 1 and Women’s Super League; from the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup; the Coral Challenge Cup and Women’s Challenge Cup; and other major occasions in the community game, such as the Warners Champion Schools Finals Day in August and the recent National Conference Grand Finals.

“It’s a fantastic resource for the RFL and the sport of Rugby League as we distribute these live pictures worldwide – and being able to offer coverage of these three international fixtures to Our League members is another exciting step for us.

“We’re making a small charge for coverage of the Knights-Jamaica game which we think is great value for money for those in the UK and around the world who want to watch the game but are unable to make it along to Leeds on Sunday. It will be a great occasion, showing Jamaica’s preparations for the 2021 World Cup and also the exciting young players we have coming through under Paul Anderson in the Knights.

“We are also pleased to have secured exclusive coverage in the UK of the two really attractive fixtures from the Oceania Cup, which will feature a host of names familiar to British supporters – and will also show how much we have to look forward to when all these teams head for England in 2021.”

Further details on broadcast of the England Women’s tour to PNG will be announced shortly.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
