Brian Carney: Is Wayne Bennett rugby league's Gerald Ratner?

Got something to discuss about RL in general? Then this is the place to post it.

Not sure I do,Marshall,Grace, joe Burgess, josh charnley even Tom lineham all way better than him yet people are getting their panties in a bunch over him not playing
Haven't seen enough of Handley but I've seen a fair bit of Charnley who, imo, should have been a shoe in.
Im surprised he wasn't picked, he had a brilliant season for warrington and out of available wingers hes the one with the ability and experience to play international level.

On this Tour Bennett has either thrown it in protest (he did sign as England coach not GB) or hes done. I wouldnt mind the team choices if the looked like working but they didnt.

Saints fans must be hurting all their best players in the world were average to naff.

I wonder if the rfl would consider Holbrook as a replacement though.

To be fair, Lomax has been one of the very few half-decent performers.

PNG used Wires Wembley tactics, line speed and cutting Walmsley and Thompson off at the knees. Thompson in particular was poor yesterday, he missed several tackles as well. Hopefully, Lam and the rest of SL will learn from this tour.

I just read a piece saying much the same in the Guardian. If the concept was on life-support before, after this disastrous tour...

He states that The British talent pool's not big enough for GB, If that is so then how is it big enough for England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales

How well do Scotland, Ireland and Wales do on the international front?
His point is the player pools from those countries isn't there to add to GB.
