Bretherton feeling at home in Toulouse as new deal is confirmed

Post by josie andrews »

He has become an integral part of the club since joining in 2018.

Former Wigan youngster Joe Bretherton says that he feels really settled in France and is looking forward to helping the Championship club push for promotion to Super League after signing a new two year deal.

The 24 year old prop originally made his top level debut for Wigan and played 15 games in cherry and white before heading to Toulouse on loan in 2018, where he has been ever since.

And now, having signed until the end of the 2022 season, he is aiming to achieve something special in France.

“I am grateful to the club for giving me this opportunity and I am really happy to stay. I am hoping to contribute to the rise of the TO into the Super League,” he told the club website.

“I feel at home in Toulouse now and being part of this project is an honour for me.”

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
