but the charge changed which it wouldnt do in a criminal charge, if you said sorry and pled guilty you wouldnt get murder downgraded to manslaughter

Yes, but the judiciary said it was the full 8 game tariff, only reduced to 5 in this instance because of his previous good record being taken into account (never been sent off) and his guilty plea.

Much the same as what happens in a criminal case in the law courts to a 1st time offender.
Thats by the by though a grade F offence, and that was should remain at grade F especially when the offence was so clearly doing the ball tugging that was going on, if I had have been Watts id have punched him (or anyone doing the same thing) into next week simple as that.
