I'm not surprised, he wasn't getting any opportunities even now and i believe he wouldn't be free on the salary cap anymore if he moved within league.

It seemed a strange signing at the time for a 31 yr old union player, I don't see what Warrington would get out of him seeing it takes a protracted period to get them up to speed tactically, physically and fitness wise. Plus I never got in what position Warrington were going to play him, he didn't seem to fit in as either a back or a forward, a centre or 2nd Row ?
The only positive for him, which he alludes to, is his increased level of fitness should he return to union.

Agreed..I can understand taking a chance on a late 20's union player but 31/32? it was always going trend this way sadly.

Would imagine Burrells salary will end up with Greg Inglis next season.
