BETFRED SUPER LEAGUE UPDATE: 2 NOVEMBER

Post by josie andrews »

Castleford Tigers’ next two fixtures, against Leeds Rhinos this Friday and Salford Red Devils next Monday, have been cancelled after four more players tested positive for Covid-19 during their latest round of testing.

Castleford’s game against Huddersfield Giants that was scheduled for last Friday was cancelled after 13 players received positive results following testing last Tuesday.

After the latest positive results, the RFL’s Multiple Cases Group has extended the shutdown of the club.

No decision has yet been made on Castleford’s Round 22 fixture against Wakefield Trinity, with two further rounds of testing to be carried out this week.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
