Capt Sir Tom Moore

Got something to discuss about RL in general? Then this is the place to post it.

Capt Sir Tom Moore

There's no "Off Topic" anymore, but didn't want this sad occasion pass without comment, he's a proper hero for everything he's done for the NHS and how he's inspired the country during these dark, covid times. Condolences to his family.
RIP.

Yes. RIP Sir Tom, sincere condolences to family & friends 😢💔🥀
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

What a tragedy for someone who fought so hard to defeat this dreadful disease only to succumb to it! RIP Tom. I think they should erect a statue in his home town of Keighley as a reminder of his tenacity and willingness to help humanity.

It was good to see that Tom got the national recognition he deserved, he is the type of person that once epitomised our country’s greatness and standing in the world. Sadly, those times seem to be receding fast as too many people now spend their time dumbing down standards and trying to convince the majority that they are wrong to uphold those standards.
