State of Origin (Spoilers inc)

Post by nathan_rugby »

Is it me or does the quality not seem to be as high as normal?

Is there a lot of injuries or do QLD and NSW just not have as many stars as normal?

Seemed a bit bland initially but what a game it's turned into. Even a bit of biff 😳

The level has gone down in the state of origin, it’s still good but go back about 5 years ago when you had the likes of slater, Inglis, thurston.

It was too one sided to be a great game but the show put on by NSW was worth watching. Real, old fashioned centre play from Tommy Turbo and Latrelle Mitchell.

It is good, but not a patch on previous teams. My opinion next to each player.

James Tedesco - Safe, very good but not world class and slightly over rated
Brian To’o - Never seen him before until today, took the ball up a lot but looks short and lightweight
Latrell Mitchell - Surprised me and had a great game, but not a centre
Tom Trbojevic - Excellent
Josh Addo-Carr - Great winger but quiet today
Jarome Luai - Good, nothing more (yet)
Nathan Cleary - Great player
Bomhead - "Lockers to prop."

You are hard to please, they make our lot look like amateurs. If Tedesco is not world class who is?

Leulai is a little bit better than good and mitchell played at centre all the time when he was at the roosters

Papalii was a big loss for QLD. I fully expected NSW to win, but not by that margin; I expect few did. Cleary and Luai are the best in the business right now, and they showed it there.
