If it goes ahead without these teams it will just confirm what a farce International Rugby league is . Just refund the ticket money and move on.

Quite agree mate,it can’t nor ever will be a World Cup without them it’s time the organisers pulled on their big boy pants and made the call that should have happened back in may and call it off till next year

All the southern hemisphere teams rely on NRL players too, so they will be massively depleted.

I thought I read somewhere that our government who apparently has done then world's best covid response has pushed for it to go ahead?

I doubt I matters lockdown looms after we have all had our summer of Sun so surely it will be called off.

And yet, the aussie and new zealand ru sides are coming over.

Personally, I think it's a disgrace.

Clare Balding is on BBC just now, seems to be some political posturing behind this - very sad as RU teams are still coming.

Hopefully its a shot across the bow and protocols can be improved so they can still come.

The whole of the NRL teams have encamped in the northern part of the country because the bottom half, New South Wales etc, is rife with Covid & is on lockdown!

My friend who lives in Melbourne told me about their lockdown weeks ago!
