It makes me wonder if the perceived decline in support, for Wigan and across the board, is partly because younger generations are not as aware of our sport's history. 1895 and all that.
The majority of kids today are more interested in social media, computer games etc & everything that’s not to do with most sport in general sadly.
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

That is very true but the schools need to do more. We need to get these kids playing sport, there could be another Boston, Edwards, Gregory or Faz flying under the radar simply because they are not encouraged to participate.
