Steve Price to rejoin Cronulla Sharks from Warrington Wolves

Post by josie andrews »

STEVE Price has secured an NRL coaching position for next season.

The departing Warrington Wolves head coach will rejoin Cronulla Sharks, with whom he won an NRL Premiership back in 2016 as an assistant coach.

He has penned a two-year deal to pick up the same role from 2022 under incoming head coach Craig Fitzgibbon.

Price will be one of three assistants to Fitzgibbon – he joins Josh Hannay and Daniel Holdsworth at the club he left to join The Wire back in 2018.

Cronulla CEO Dino Mezzatesta says Price had “plenty of options” for when his duties with Warrington end in the autumn but that he is delighted he chose to return to his club.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
