SAINTS SECURE SIRONEN ON A TWO YEAR DEAL FOR 2022

Got something to discuss about RL in general? Then this is the place to post it.

Ellis is a tackle machine, I’ve seen enough of him to say he’s going to be a good player for us, very big and strong who averages around 30-40 tackles a game.

Mago is impact, definitely not a starter, if we start him he won’t be as effective and fans will get on his back. Souths are not happy he is going, a very strong runner of the ball.

The two forwards will compliment what we already have, just need one more imo another big quick lad and that’s the pack sorted.

Singleton
Partington
Byrne
Mago
Ellis
Havard
One other.

We are adding significant size to the squad, Thornley although this is the third time he has been here is a big lad, is hardly ever injured. Miski a very strong winger carries out of yardage extremely well I can see why we will be using a quota on him.

A halfback who can kick and another prop and we will be very competitive next season. French will be like a new signing.
Our list of props would look better if Byrne wasn’t on it

Who isn’t awful in a Leigh shirt this season?

And the reason he left the second time was because the money we offered was laughable.

Let’s put it this way, I’d have him over Gildart currently.

Halsall is the man for me to take over Gildart anyway, he may not have the pace of Gilly but his all round game has potential to be better.

How many games have you watched Halsall play centre for us?

The same number of times you have. Bit of a nothing question that isn’t it?

Because he has the skills to, or have you been watching different games when he has played.

Better in defence, better under the high ball, as I’ve said not as quick but there’s not many as quick as Gildart. Still learning the game but I’ve seen enough to suggest he would be an ideal replacement.

You'd have Thornley over Gildhart?
Don't know about that.

It's going to be interesting to see how it pans out for Halsall. At the moment, think he's steady, a bit like Bibby.
