Is England Knights v Jamaica on TV? Live stream details, who's playing and how to follow

Post by josie andrews »

Paul Anderson's side meet Jamaica at Wheldon Road on Friday night

England Knights’ take on Jamaica on Friday night as Paul Anderson’s men play their first game in two years.

The game will act as a testimonial game for Castleford Tigers centre Jordan Turner and as such, it will be held at his home ground, Wheldon Road.

The Knights last fixture was against Jamaica back in 2019 and England’s young guns will be looking to impress once again against the Reggae Warriors.

Here’s all the information you need to follow the contest.

How can I watch the game?

The game won’t be shown on TV, but the RFL will live streaming the game on Our League.

It is pay-per-view, with fans being asked to pay £4.95 to watch, but all proceeds will go towards Turner’s testimonial fund.

ht Tickets are available in advance at £11.25 for adults and £5 for children, with a family ticket of two adults and two children being priced at £22.25.

On the day, prices will be slightly more, with adult tickets at £13, juniors remaining at £5 and a family ticket increasing to £25.

Who will be playing?

Well, Jordan Turner looks set to play a big role for Jamaica, of course. However, the Reggae Warriors have called up a few more recognisable names for this month’s games against the Knights and Scotland.

Huddersfield pair Ashton Golding and Michael Lawrence are involved in the squad, as are former Super League players Greg Johnson and Ben Jones-Bishop.

The Knights have called up a host of the Super League’s most impressive young talent, with the likes of Matty Ashton, Jack Broadbent, Mikey Lewis, Kai Pearce-Paul and Will Pryce all likely to get game time.

What happened last time these two met?

The Knights won 38-6 in their last outing against Jamaica at Headingley, with Greg Minikin scoring a hat-trick that day in front of 7,113 fans.

It will be a slightly more inexperienced Knights team that plays this week and they’ll be looking to give the Reggae Warriors a stern test as they continue their preparations for next year’s Rugby League World Cup.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
