Exclusive: The French club have completed their latest signing for 2022.
Matty Russell is set to become the latest player to join Toulouse Olympique following their promotion to Super League.
Rugby League Live understands the winger has agreed to join the French club following Leigh's relegation from Super League.
The Scotland international was widely expected to join Salford Red Devils, however, it is Toulouse where he will play his rugby next year after putting pen to paper on a deal with the club.
Russell, who has previously played for Hull FC, Warrington Wolves and Toronto among others, was one of Leigh's top performers earlier in the year before injuries stifled his season.
He ultimately made 13 Super League appearances for the Leythers, making an average of 121 metres per game.
Russell is the latest addition to Sylvain Houles' squad for next season. Gadwin Springer was confirmed by the club this week and they have also signed former Huddersfield Giants hooker James Cunningham.
Salford are already well-stocked on the wings, with Ken Sio, Joe Burgess, Deon Cross and Rhys Williams contracted to the club. The Red Devils still have a quota spot at their disposal and they are expected to use it in due course.

Toulouse Olympique land latest signing for Super League journey
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Regarder une fille en bikini, c'est comme avoir un revolver chargé sur sa table:
Il n'y a rien de mal a ça mais il est difficile de penser à autre chose.
Now Europe is just for holidays.

I’m not the reporter of this article!! It was Matthew Shaw, so it’s him you should be criticising about missing out his Wigan career. And it does say “plus others”ian.birchall wrote: ↑Sat Nov 06, 2021 7:22 amJosie, I am surprised that you have missed his Wigan career, scored more than a try a game for us.josie andrews wrote: ↑Fri Nov 05, 2021 4:23 pm Exclusive: The French club have completed their latest signing for 2022.
