Wolves vs Saints

Post by Barney841 »

Saints just scored the easier try ever!
Shame really as the wolves haven’t played that bad, silly try to give away.
And what has happened to Williams?

Williams was always a bit of a hype job.

Type of player that needs to be in a good performing team.

Not saying he’s on their level but you get generational players like Andrew Johns and Jonathan Thurston who can play in any team and deliver.

Wire hung in there and had a couple of half chances to win, they'll be happy with that.

i was listening on radio merseyside on way to the gym and proper commentators curse with wording something along the lines of the below

Wire have scrum 10m out after good defence and keeping Saints out. Wire will be happy with the start, not many teams have kept Saints scoreless in Superleague after 20 mins

hold on a minute, whats just happened there, Saints have pushed at the scrum and its a try

Alex Walmsley will not score an easier try than that - he's 9ft tall and all he had to do was pick the ball up and he was over the line

Saints' win marred by flares and beer throwing at Warrington

SAINTS' win at Warrington Wolves last night was marred by a minority of the travelling support's behaviour.

A number of flares were set off - with one extinguished on the pitch.

And fans reported beer and bottles being thrown, with fellow supporters being hit.

It was as untimely as it was unsavoury - coming the day after the RFL announced fines for misbehaviour by Warrington, Castleford and Hull KR supporters.

A number of fans took to social media last night to voice their concerns.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

What I don’t understand from the RFL is why fine these clubs but then suspend all or part of it?

Its just like a slap on the wrist, may as well not bother!!
