Sts v Castleford

Post by josie andrews »

This game will be televised on Ch 4 tomorrow, Sunday 7th, at 12.30pm
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Cas back to 20-8 from 20-0 down. C'mon Cas . . at least it keeps some of our 25 point margin on points difference. A win would be very nice though

Unfortunately ends 20-12 to Saints. Cas missed 3 conversions.
Saints last 4 results not looking too impressive:

Wakey W 12-13 on golden point
Salford L 44-22
Leeds W 22-30
Cas W 20-12

For 85 Against 90

By my reckoning we should be 17 better on points difference. If they lose to Hull next week, we just need to beat them (and win our other games) to be top!

Pretty poor game, really. Saints were sub-par and Cas just weren't good enough to take advantage. Batchelor continues to impress. C4 coverage always welcome, though.

At my age I’m allowed to try & be immature. But it’s got to the point I can’t stand all smaltz from commentators & the like when they start wittering on about saints! You’d think there had never been a good team other than them since rugby league started!

Nothing immature about having a pop about the "ginger whinger", Josie.

As to the right to be immature as we get older, I'm all for it - we're working through all episodes of Still Game on Netflix. Having lived in Scotland, I'm sure you'll love it!

The wheels are a little wobbly
Their forwards did the damage and that was the difference punching big holes.

I long for the day when I can say that about Wigan.
