Revealed: How many quota spots every Super League club has left for 2023 as Wakefield Trinity, Leeds Rhinos & Warrington

Though we’re all in World Cup mode at present, many are still gearing up for Super League in 2023 especially as recruitment takes its usual twists and turns.

However, at the heart of recruitment is often the seven quota spots for overseas signings clubs have available to them.

So, here is how many quota spots each Super League club has left going into 2023.

Castleford Tigers: 0
The Tigers have no quota spots left for next year after the signings of Albert Vete and Jacob Miller for next season meaning that side of their recruitment is done. The arrival of more young British players, such as Jack Broadbent, is expected soon.

Catalans Dragons: 1
Though the Dragons have signed Tongan star Siosiua Taukieaho and Manu Ma’u for next year, the loss of Sam Kasiano and co have left them with a quota spot. This will likely be used on a centre after the loss of Samisoni Langi and Dean Whare.

Huddersfield Giants: 1
Following the loss of Danny Levi on compassionate grounds, the Giants have one quota spot left which they will likely use to replace Levi. Nathan Peats is expected to be the man to replace him.

Hull FC: 1
Like Huddersfield, Hull have one quota spot left and will use it to replace a recent departure most likely. Jake Connor’s move to Huddersfield has left a gap in the Hull spine set to be filled by halfback Jake Clifford.

Hull KR: 0
The Robins have no quota spots left for next year after the signing of Rhys Kennady and co.

Leeds Rhinos: 1
The Rhinos have one quota spot left for 2022 due to Bodene Thompson’s departure. This is likely to go to a centre with Nene MacDonald rumoured to be joining the club.

Leigh Centurions: 1
Leigh have seven off-contract players who would take up quota spots but only six signed on for 2023. MacDonald is likely to leave and make it 2 spaces left whilst Lachlam Lam could be taken off the quota spots having spent some youth development in the UK. This would leave the Centurions with three spots most of which would likely go to the seven off-contract players.

Salford Red Devils: 1
The Red Devils have done little in the way of overseas recruitment for 2023 and have one spot left to fill.

St Helens: 0
The Champions are unlikely to do much at all in the recruitment with the only likely signing being a replacement for Regan Grace. However, it’s at this stage impossible for that signing to be from overseas.

Wakefield Trinity: 3
No club has as many quota spots left as Wakefield who have three to use and will likely look to stars of the World Cup for signings.

Warrington Wolves: 1
The Wolves may have signed plenty of stars for 2023 but still have one quota spot left for next year and will likely use it on a halfback.

Wigan Warriors: 0
The Warriors have used up all their quota spots for next year and are putting them to good use with the likes of Jai Field and Bevan French.
