Cracking game. They’re nailed on I think to meet us in the quarterfinals 😬

Enjoyed the commentary as well as the game 😂

Vossy having his first Wigan pie & enjoying it. Then getting lost on the first class train from Wigan to Warrington & ending up in Crewe for several hours 😂😂
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Amazing photo from Papua New Guinea goes viral as locals show love for Rugby League World Cup

The Kumuls look set to advance to the quarter finals.

You will not see a better picture than this throughout the Rugby League World Cup. In fact, you may not see a better one full stop. On Tuesday Papua New Guinea got their World Cup campaign up and running with victory over the locals.

And it's fair to say the PNG natives loved every minute. We all know that rugby league is the national sport of Papua New Guinea and that was captured in one fantastic photo.

An image from the PNG University of Technology has emerged online showing hundreds of people sat around one television watching the Kumuls as they took on the Cook Islands. The amazing shot shows the fans watching from two different levels and from such a long distance.

It perfectly demonstrates the love of rugby league across the world and just how much impact the World Cup is having way beyond the United Kingdom.

The picture has gone viral on social media. Paul Sharples tweeted: Wow. Makes you realise that it’s not just the size of the crowds in the stadiums that counts." Robert Wood added: "The #RLWC2021 the gift that keeps on giving, it goes beyond sport and life. What a great picture."

Bullock Shed added: "One of the photos of the tournament. Even more impressive when you realise the match kicked off at around 4 am local time."

that photo when backed up with some of the commentary just tells you how much they love the game in PNG. Was good listening to Jammer and Vossy talking about them playing bare footed and making balls from whatever they could get their hands onto

another cracking game, with big hits and some entertaining rugby played. Gelling with 2 interceptions but lacking the pace to finsh either off
