Karl Oloapu has spoken to two Super League clubs

Post by josie andrews »

The story of Karl Oloapu is an interesting one.

Regarded as a young man with the potential to be world class in the future, Oloapu’s future is up in the air.

The captain of the Australian Schoolboys, a huge honour for any young man, he is a stand-off with huge potential.

He signed a three-year deal at the Brisbane Broncos but feels the club has broken their promises to him forcing him to change position into a hooker or 13 whilst also asking him to change body shape.

Thus, Oloapu wants to move to pastures new but the Broncos seem set on denying him a release resulting in an investigation from the NRL.

Oloapu has said he will never play for the Broncos whilst it has been reported that he is considering a move to Rugby Union or indeed Super League.

Speaking exclusively to Serious About Rugby League, his manager and former Leeds Rhinos star Matt Adamson previously revealed that Oloapu had held discussions with two Super League clubs.

Catalans Dragons, a club Adamson coached for, have quota spots open as do Salford Red Devils.

However, any move to Super League, or indeed elsewhere in the NRL or rugby union has now seemingly been given the green light now that, according to Wide World of sports, he has been given permission to talk to rival clubs.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
