Possibly the best prop to play for Wigan

Got something to discuss about RL in general? Then this is the place to post it.

This gets us back to last year's conversation about the Manly boycott of the pride shirts, I understand Ian Roberts is the only one to have come out of the cupboard upto now but that's not going to change in the NRL anytime soon, they've been talking about a respect round not a specific pride round and that's doubtful to happen either as people like Laurie Daley deem it too divisive, my opinion is that the gay community want to feel part of the community but surely having a special round is creating a divide by making a big deal of it, we don't have a straight white man round?

I always knew that I liked this place, you don't have to look to far to find a friendly face, I feel alive when I'm walking on this street, I feel the heart of this city pounding underneath my feet, yeah if the world keeps spinning round and round this is were it all goes down, down, down, THAT'S WHY I LOVE THIS TOWN!.

Not that much new news here.

Not sure he was the best prop, but he certainly was a tackling machine.

My dad told me, at the time, Roberts was so committed as a player that inserting 35 stitches to his face at half-time wasn't going to stop him resuming his tackling marathon in the John Player final.

We had such a great side then that - do I remember right? - Roberts played second-row at Wigan despite being a prop mostly?

Another good player but I think he was probably past his peak when he came to Wigan. When Roberts came to Wigan, for his guest spell, he was the top prop in the NRL.
