That's rubbish. Ridiculous claim.
+1. if we are relying on singleton being the one to lead our pack our seasons over more like.

Still nothing being said formally from our side yet I've heard unofficially it's a done deal. If it does get done in the coming days/weeks, would it be an immediate transfer?

Wigan coach Matt Peet responds to links with Hull KR main target Tyler Dupree

Wigan and Hull KR have both submitted bids to Salford for Dupree's services.

Wigan Warriors coach Matt Peet has played down the Tyler Dupree situation but has confirmed he is interested in getting a deal done if possible.

Both Wigan and Hull KR have submitted bids to Salford Red Devils for Dupree's services in recent weeks. Rovers have had two bids rejected, with their latest offer being £150,000, with the Warriors offering £170,00. As it stands, nothing has changed, and the England prop is still a Red Devil.

Ironically, he will play against the Robins on Saturday as the two teams kickstart the 2023 Magic Weekend at St James' Park in Newcastle. Wigan coach Peet was asked about his interest in the 23-year-old and spoke honestly but respectfully without going into too much detail.

"The first thing is, Tyler Dupree is a Salford player," said Peet. "Out of respect, I don't like to go into too much detail. He's a Salford player, and I wouldn't like it if someone was talking about my players in the press.

Dupree's first game since the news broke regarding his transfer request was a successful one. He was a try-scorer in the 29-22 Super League win over Hull FC, helping lift the Red Devils back into the play-offs in sixth spot over St Helens.

Salford Red Devils make Tyler Dupree decision after fundraising deadline closes

Dupree has been the subject of interest from some Super League clubs and handed in a transfer request.

Salford Red Devils have informed the clubs interested in signing Tyler Dupree that he is not for sale after their community share scheme brought in over £350,000.

On Monday, the campaign launched by the club closed, with an official figure of £364,270 raised by people and businesses who purchased a share to become co-owners of the club.

And having reached the impressive total, Managing Director Paul King is understood to have informed those that had shown interest in signing the England international they would not be willing to sell the rising prop.

Dupree handed in a transfer request last month, which was rejected by the club, amid interest from Hull KR who were reported to have tabled two bids, with one to the tune of £150,000. Following those revelations, Wigan Warriors were understood to have entered the mix too and had asked to be kept in the loop on developments.

But Dupree will remain a part of Paul Rowley's squad. The Reds are fifth in Super League, just two points off the top of the league and they are in the Challenge Cup quarter-finals. Despite his uncertain future, Dupree has played every game this season and his form saw him earn a maiden international cap in England's mid-season clash with France.

The 23-year-old has enjoyed a rapid rise since signing for Oldham in 2021. He was named as the Championship's young player of the year that season and after a few months with Widnes Vikings, he signed for Salford, where he quickly established himself as a first-team regular.
