Hull KR eager to land former FC fullback and Super League winner Jack Walker

Post by josie andrews »

Rovers want to bring in the 23-year-old to bolster their fullback department.

Hull KR are interested in bringing in Bradford Bulls star Jack Walker with immediate effect. Hull Live understands if Rovers can get the deal done, the Super League Grand Final winner is expected to act as backup for Lachlan Coote, who is returning from a hamstring setback and Walker would bolster the club's fullback department.

Walker, who made his debut aged 17 for Leeds Rhinos, has 87 appearances to his name. The fullback spent time on loan at Hull FC last season, making his debut in the Black and Whites' Magic Weekend victory over Rovers. Walker went on to play six times for FC. However, he is now wanted by the Robins.

Currently at the Bulls, he recently scored two tries in their Summer Bash derby victory over Keighley Cougars in York. Still only 23, injuries have been the only thing holding Walker back, and he is still dubbed as one of the most promising backs in the British game.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
