Mikey Lewis omitted from England's final Test squad as George Williams returns
George Williams is back available for selection after serving his two-match ban
Hull KR's Mikey Lewis isn't included in Shaun Wane's 19-man squad ahead of Saturday's final Test match with Tonga at Headingley Stadium. The Robins star has impressed during his two outings in as many weeks but hasn't made the final cut for the game in Leeds.
England coach Shaun Wane has welcomed back his captain, George Williams, for the third and final Test match with Tonga on Saturday afternoon in Leeds.
Williams has missed the two victories in St Helens and Huddersfield after his controversial ban picked up whilst representing Warrington Wolves ruled him out for the majority of the series. However, now he's back at Wane's disposal and is set to return as England look to whitewash Mate Ma'a.
NRL-bound Morgan Smithies and Warrington winger Josh Thewlis are both introduced into Wane's 19, but Hull KR's Mikey Lewis drops out of the side with Williams back in the fold. The game will mark Elliot Whitehead's final game for his country, as the England stalwart will retire before the next international calendar.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

No Toby King either.

Mikey Lewis is a better player than George Williams faster from halfback and takes the line on I think its a wrong move

I agree.
Smith has an overall better control kicking than Lewis or Williams. Especially long kicking. Lewis and Smith combine and compliment each other very well and should be the pairing going forward.

Smith was undroppable for me Lewis looked at home but is similar to Williams for me Williams is the better player at the moment

There's no surprise here, though, is there? Wane had always said Williams would be back for the third Test. There's plenty of time for Lewis (and he has plenty still to learn), he's only young.

It was always going to be a choice between Williams and Lewis. Without Harry's kicking game we'd possibly have lost both matches so far, and neither of the other two can offer anything close to it.
Lewis is unlucky, but Williams contributes more in the 80 minutes, on attack and defence. Lewis shines brighter in scoring a try and the odd dazzling run, and can be a match winner, but can actually be quite ordinary for 60 or 70 minutes.

No there isn't but you know what the press is like,it was telling that wane said on tv Lewis had a lot to learn despite being man of the match but no let's try to act surprised when Williams returns to the side in a move that wane said would happen...
No wonder journalism is a dying art

Thought Lewis did as well as any of us expected but Williams taking his place was always going to happen.
Lewis has done himself no harm at all. Injuries happen as do suspensions and his name is now first in the frame.
