I went on a cruise earlier this year and visited St Marteen(a great experience), Tortola, Aruba and another gem Grand Cayman.
Going to a place I've been in Mexico before.
Thanx for your replies.
Read some disturbing stuff the other day re the drug cartels in Mexico, think it was around Acapulco. Did you feel safe where you were?

I'm going to Akumal Bay and have been before. The only mither you get is in Playa del Carmen. Last time we went one guy kept mithering to buy some stuff and asked me to give him a break when I repeatedly said no. Mind I got the same mither in Jamaica.
I saw a news programme recently where Acapulco beach featured and it was stated it is a no go area and tourism is non existent now.
