There's always around a dozen anglers on the two lakes from first light to lock-up time. Can't believe no-one has seen anything suspicious, it's got to be really foul weather for there to be nobody there and on Friday afternoon there would have been people in the cafe, anglers, birdwatchers, hikers, dog walkers etc etc plus lots of students from Winstanley College using the water parks as a short cut.
Spare a thought for the parents who will be asking these same questions. Why didn't somebody see something suspicious?

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
