HMS Queen Elizabeth

Post by Wandering Warrior »

Not only will the planes not arrive till next year but one military expert stated we have not enough frigates/destroyers to escort or protect it.
The folk that make decisions that in most cases affect our lives are clueless donkeys!
May and Hammond walking on the deck like they were experts! Both has beens and both fluids under pressure, experts indeed.

On its sea trials it had to be protected buy an American Carrier Battle Group who were on exercise.
If they did have a clue then the small carriers we had would have been kept in service until this HMS QE was ready for active service.

Well that would be a bit odd given they are supposed to be designed to operate together but then defence computer systems take so long to develop (got to make sure you don't blow people up accidentally... :eusa12: ) they do not age well. You can't just let Microsoft update the operating system once a month and hope it works afterwards!

The thing I read about the F35 variant we have is the range is poor because of its VTOL capability compared to the standard version. The carrier will have to get well within range of shore launched anti-ship missiles to launch the aircraft.

I could say they'd have been better keeping the Ark Royal and giving it a coat of paint but the donkeys leading us would have only wasted the money saved on another railway line in London!
